What are editors, and what do they do?
Editors are tasked with maintaining our torrent information on the site.
They fill out torrent group information, such as series descriptions, album titles, band members, or seiyuu information. They also verify information entered by the community to be correct.
Editors cannot delete torrents, but they edit them or merge them into different groups.
Who are you looking for, and how can I apply?
Editors are expected to have a deep understanding of our upload rules and understand how to verify torrent information accurately.
You must also have shown you are attached to the site, for example, by being active in the community, uploading torrents, having edited torrent information after reaching the PU class, or similar.

What is the Torrent Support class all about?
Torrent Support is tasked with maintaining the content on our site. They make sure rule-breaking torrents are removed and handle user reports. They are a class with more privileges than editors and are in close contact with staff.
Who are you looking for, and how can I apply?
As with editors, you need to have a clear understanding of our upload rules and the ability to apply them fairly, as well as the instinct to contact staff in edge cases.
You need to have shown to be responsible enough to not misuse your powers by, for example, being a prolific uploader, reporting a lot of torrents and posting in the 'request an edit' thread, being a long-time member and active in the community, or similar.
We are looking for dedicated members of the community to fill this role. This means that you must be willing to contribute a significant amount of time and that you intend to perform your duties for a while. You also need to be on our IRC server to facilitate contact with staff.
If you think you are up to the task, you can apply by sending a Staff PM. Applicants must have been active on the site for at least 1 year.
Closing Thoughts
A community effort.
Primarily, AB is a site where you can find the content you want to download. It is what people come here for.
But it is a community as well, and without the members' efforts, the content would not be available.
Everyone has a role to play. From the average member to the staff, there's something each of us can do. Some people choose to upload content to the site. Others fill in torrent metadata or participate in the forums and IRC.
And a lot of people simply download and seed the content they love. And that's perfectly fine too. However, I also know many you want to do more to help and wonder what they can do.
So, for those members, here's a list of activities that you can participate in:
Become a part of the community. Post in the forums about an anime you saw or join us on IRC, and chat with other members.
Posting in the 'request an edit' thread. When you run into metadata that is incorrect, inform our team of editors.
Report torrents that break our rules. Did you spot a dupe or a broken file? Submit a report so our TS team and staff know about it.
Filling in missing metadata. (For example, a lot of recently aired anime are still blank. When you find one, fill it in!)
Upload torrents from the 'easy uploads' thread. Learn how to upload and help staff out by completing these easy uploads.
I believe that we have a great community with many outstanding members, and I enjoy staffing a lot because of it. Still, I also feel that some parts have been stagnating, which might be a natural result of the emergence of the streaming culture and abandonment of forums in general.
But I believe AB has a future, and I wish our community to last a long time, and I hope you all do too.
Staff activity.
I believe some uploaders have noticed that the handling of reports (mainly for trumps) and staff PMs related to torrents can be slow. This is a result of us being short-staffed, and we are sorry for it.
We hope that the addition of the TS class and the recruitment for it are successful and will improve this area.
There are also many great suggestions that we would love to implement, but we simply lack the development muscle to do so. I want to remind everyone that we are still looking to recruit more developers; you can find more info here.
