I have finally run out of patience with those who contribute nothing to this site. Issuing warnings And temporary suspensions has proven to be completely ineffective, the offenders never change their behavior so it is time to do something else to deal with them.Therefore, going forward, permanent suspensions and IP address bans are going to be regularly issued without further warning to those of you who hit and run, upload nothing whilst downloading hand over fist, don’t participate in the shout box, or write comments and post in the forums. If you haven’t uploaded at least one torrent in the last 12 months, along with being a hit and run user, you are fair game for being banned as far as I am concerned, and are going to find yourself banned as soon as I catch up with you. Uploading a torrent in 12 months is not much to ask really. You know who you are, and believe me, so do I. Please remember that site rules require that you seed any torrent that you download for a minimum of 48 hours. If you are dropping the seed within a few hours or minutes after you have completed the download, then you are a hit and run user, and going forward I am going to be ruthless in eliminating those that do this. It is an unbelievably inconsiderate practice, and there is simply no excuse for this behavior. The system records exactly how long you seed every torrent that you download, so spotting the hit and run users is as simple as it is accurate. Over the next little while, I am going to be going through the database, and any that have a long history of no uploads, no comments, and not seeding are going to be given the heave-ho without further warning, so don’t be surprised if you find that you have been banned, you are hereby being given the explanation in advance, as there will be no appeal, your behavior as recorded by the system database will tell the tale. I will also be carefully watching those that I see downloading, and checking your accounts to verify that you are contributing, and not dumping seeds shortly after you finish downloading. I see no point in continuing to carry dead weight, it is just a drain on system resources that we don’t need. If you are not willing to freely participate, then you don’t belong here, end of story.
